We provide internal audit, risk management, governance, and advisory services to our Member institutions and to non-Members (our "clients") to the highest quality standards by ensuring that we apply the following principles at all times in carrying out our work:

  • Moment of Truth - We believe that first impressions always count. We are professional in our approach and presentation, ensuring a high standard is set and shown to others with whom we come into contact. We expect the maintenance of tidy audit offices and audit files, professionally drafted client documentation, professional dress and communication, timely attendance and delivery of work.
  • Empowerment - We believe that each of us is empowered. We understand KCG and individual team priorities and work to achieve these. We deliver our work and make decisions within the KCG guidelines and framework in order to succeed. We are innovative in our approach and thoughtful about our client outputs in order to make a valued and recognised contribution to our clients' businesses. We try to find better and quicker ways to deliver our work whilst maintaining the highest professional and quality standards. We have the highest respect and regard for each other's professional knowledge and experience and take pride in sharing knowledge between ourselves and with our clients.

We understand what those professional standards and targets are, and we meet these without fail unless there is agreed good reason.   • Responsiveness and client service - We respond to all client communications quickly and professionally. We want the best for our clients and we look after them to the best of our abilities at all times.
  • Every minute counts - We believe in using our time constructively and to the benefit of the team and our clients. We record all our time accurately and ensure that we provide value to our clients at all times. We eliminate wasted effort in the delivery of our work by making sure that Terms of Reference and Work Programmes are properly focussed and that we adhere to the audit remit at all times.
  • Service improvement - We believe in seeking ways to continually improve our service by considering fresh approaches to barriers that get in the way of success.
  • KCG teamwork - We believe in strong teamwork and that everyone has an important role to play. We respect the principles of dignity at work and strive to ensure that we support our colleagues by helping each other. We recognise and value diligence, application and achievement but we also deal firmly but fairly with weakness in order to learn, grow and improve performance. As a team, we cover all aspects of work required to deliver the mission of the KCG Consortium. Unconstructive behaviour is not acceptable to KCG at any level in the workplace.

Our team strives to raise the standards of HE internal auditing in London and the South East and to be innovative in resolving problems that may arise in the achievement of our objectives.
