Staff Induction

We welcome you to the KCG Consortium! We have a defined induction programme for all new joiners which takes advantage of induction also provided by our Member institutions. We will make sure that, during your induction period, you understand fully how KCG functions and your specific role within the Consortium:

• in partnership with our Members.
• in consultation with external bodies such as HEFCE.
• as a team.

You will gain a thorough understanding of:

• our Member institutions - key contacts and how the KCG Consortium Member institutions work together;
• your role and how you will contribute to KCG;
• KCG audit methodology and how to apply it;
• the internal communications at KCG including the administrative support structure from our host institution, Kingston University; and
• where to look for help or support during your first few week.

You will be allocated:

• a nominated line Manager; and
• a colleague as your mentor

Both will help to guide you through the induction process. You will have regular progress meetings to discuss your development and achievement of agreed objectives. These sessions can also be used for you to flag any issues or to obtain more information on a particular subject. Our KCG Business Manager is also a useful point of contact.
